Ever since man landed on the moon, he has been fascinated by the very concept of space. Space is nothing short of an artistic masterpice carefully crafted to hold mysteries together. Whenever we imagine about the future, we visualize space, stars and the planets instantly.

These type of designs are becoming more and more popular in a variety of design contexts like corporate designs, portfolios, poster work and nowadays, even blogs use both styles on a small and large scale. When applying “old-style” elements to their works, designers produce creative and appealing designs that make their websites stand out and look really different. If these type of retro look are executed carefully, the results are stunning and will catch the eye of the viewer instantly. It sends out a very strong message when typography is placed within these styles. These retro typographic elements create a nostalgic atmosphere around us, awakening our inner feelings and memories.
Create a realistic leopard fur typography in Photoshop

In this tutorial, we will learn how to create an animal inspired fur typography. Typography has always been an inspiration. After writing an article about the most inspirational typography, I was quite eager to try the fur typography, which I happened to see in Behance, quite some time ago. As i was experimenting with some brushes in Photoshop, I realized that it had a default ‘Grass’ brush which could be easily used to create this awesome typography. So, I sat down and experimented and this is what I came up with. Just for information, I am totally against cruelty to animals. I think these innocent and poor animals need compassion as they mean no harm to us and help us maintain the balance of life in nature. Well, I hope people realize that and help them survive and breed like they desire to be. Anyways, Let us move on the the tutorial now. I also have plans of releasing an awesome Safari inspired Social Icon set in a day or two. So, keep watching this space :)
Create a stormy Harry Potter Text effect in Photoshop

The new movie in the Harry potter series is due release later this year. Even though I am not a huge fan of Harry potter, I am definitely inspired by the posters they create. It is magical, fascinating and gives a surreal look. So, I thought of recreating one of their text effects.
In this tutorial, we will be creating the Harry Potter text effect with a brilliant stormy night. This type of effect is seen in the trailer of the Harry Potter movies. After seeing them, I got inspired to try it out and the result was quite satisfactory. So, I decided to share it with you.
We will learn how to create a solid bevel effect, which can be applied to create some awesome text effects. Also, we will learn how to create rain using the Noise Filter. We will apply a Photo filter to give it an authentic movie title look. Finally, it is about experimenting with lots of effects and cloud filters. Let’s start.
Create a Super Cool 3D Text in Photoshop

We have seen so many tutorials on the web which uses the 3D text for creating awesome typographic images. Well, those 3D text are usually created using a 3D program like 3DSMax, Xara 3D, Cinema 4D and so on.
But, what if you don’t have such high profile 3D tools. Especially, if you are not a hard core CG Artist, you wouldn’t be needing these stuff. If your aim is to create simple 3dText, you can easily achieve it in Photoshop itself.
In this tutorial, we will learn exactly how to achieve such a 3D effect. We will also be experimenting with the reflection which is very important and gives the 3D text an added realism. You can actually use this simple technique to create trendy realistic logos and icons. Lets get started!
Create a Glass Text effect in Photoshop and Shatter it

There are some great effects you can achieve using Ph0toshop and there are so many tutorials on the web to show us how. The most under-appreciated text affect that has long been forgotten is the glass text effect. In this tutorial, we will be creating an amazing looking glass text effect and better yet, we will use the power of the lasso tool and shatter the text into pieces.
We will be learning a lot in this tutorial with respect to the Blending modes and Layer styles. Infact, to achieve the glass text effect, we will experiment with a lot of layer styles which are very much required to get the realistic effect. We will also use a few star brushes created by Brusheezy (I just love their brushes) and give a lens flare effect as well. The background colour combinations have been adopted from PSDTuts, which was the best I could find.
Create a Cool and Realistic Denim textured typography

How creative can you get with fonts and typography? There are so many tutorials on Creating awesome typography on the web, so this might seem a little bit redundant. As a matter of fact, I wanted to get ideas on how to create a unique style of typeface, so i decided to search for a few which had this uniqueness compared to all others and I stumbled upon a rather impressive set of fonts. Graphic river have released one of their new fonts, a textile lettered font, which immediately caught my eye. I wanted to create something similar to the typeface so i experimented a little bit and came up with this tutorial. Hope you guys like it.
I think one of the best features of Photoshop is the Layer Styles. We can create all sorts of effects like plastic, glass, water, ice, metal, and blend text with various textures. In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a denim textured typography with stitches. I will use only Layer Styles, and once our new style is created, we will be able to save the style and apply it wherever we want.
