50 most Breathtaking examples of Landscape Photography

landscape photographySome of us dream to travel around the world, to visit places that are so exotic and we are ready to give up anything we want. There are certain places on earth which transcend beauty as we know it. I’ve known some friends who have taken this journey to follow their dreams and trust me, there is no better hobby than Photography. It gives you this sublime feeling of loneliness, yet makes your happy and gets you the satisfaction you always craved for. But, for most of us who are busy and have other commitments, photographs are the closest we can get to touching this “dream”.

Landscape Photography is an incredibly skilled form of Photography. It takes more than just a Photographer to capture the most beautiful shots at the right time, with the right environmental elements and not mention, a good camera. Once processed and enhanced digitally, it just makes us go ‘Wow’.

Landscape photography is a genre intended to show different spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Many landscape photographers show little or no human activity in their photos, striving to attain pure, unsullied landscapes that are devoid of human influence, using instead subjects such as strongly defined landforms, weather, and ambient light. Despite this, there is no pure or absolute definition of what makes a landscape in photography, as such it has become very broad term, encompassing urban, industrial, macro and nature photography. In this article, I am showcasing some of the most beautiful landscapes that I could find. Some of them are so surreal and breathtaking that it will definitely spark the photographer in you and inspire you to say the least. The links for the photographers who captured these can be followed by clicking the Image. I also have added a few links to resources and inspiration which you will find useful to improve your Photography skills

  21. suja says:

    Wow!! Really breathtaking!!!!!!

  22. der Wandersmann says:

My Russian is very bad, but that greenish panoramic that you can’t identify says that it is a Crimean Village (but “village” is only a small part of the word, a couple more letters and it becomes “last”) – “Section” (whatever the hell that means) landscape (Russian and French use the same word for “landscape”) – Photograph by Photosite. I have no idea what or who “Photosite” is, either.

  23. Uvais says:

    HA HA
    Breath taking EDITING!!!!!!!!!!!
For a good photographer his camera is magic box of creativity,
some of the photos are stupid editings,
    real crap,
Those pics questions the originality of other pics,
A good photographer doesn’t go in search of beauty,HE CREATES BEAUTY!!!

  24. Aaranya Roy says:

I can’t agree with you more. I have been fortunate to visit over 17 countries and many great locations throughout the United States. I think Yellowstone park and the Grand Canyon were two of the most breathtaking locations. The view from Table Mountain in South Africa was amazing. Yet no matter how hard I tried I never seem to capture the feeling of emotion that enveloped me with my photographs.

The photo above of Thor’s Well kind of leaves me speechless.

  30. ged says:

I spend alot of time photographing texures and surfaces to use on designs, can be time consuming so always good to have a post like this. Nice One.

  31. George Klein says:

Unfortunately most of the photographs were heavily “photoshopped”, and that takes a lot away from their natural beauty. Many landscape photographers overuse the power of Photoshop and or Lightroom/Aperture, and the results are not pleasing. At least not for myself. Creating a “veil effect” of moving water (mostly waterfalls) by using longer exposure is perfectly acceptable (I’ve done it myself), and it’s really has nothing to do with Photoshop, although it can be done using Photoshop with less pleasing results. But not the over enhancing of color, contrast etc. That’s a no-no for me.
